Police have released images of a man they would like to speak with following the theft of a bicycle in Abbots Langley. The black ladies Specialized mountain bike, worth around £420, had been chained to a rack outside the YMCA, in College Road, when it was taken between 11.44am and 4.30pm on Tuesday, September 16. A bike lock and chain, worth £10, was also stolen. PC David Herring, who is investigating, said: “I would like to speak to the man pictured as he may have information which could help with our enquiries. If anyone recognises him then please contact me. “I would also like to hear from anyone who is offered the bicycle for sale or knows of its whereabouts.” Anyone with information, or who recognises the man in the photo, is asked to contact PC Herring via the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference C2/14/1993. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
