Pinner Village Gardens (PVG) Junior Parkrun celebrated St George’s Day with more than 100 participants and a visit from the man himself.
On Sunday, April 21, 105 participants and their friends and family braved the windy weather for the 109th PVG Junior Parkrun.
A spokesperson for PVG Junior Parkrun said: “We have an active and structured Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) volunteer scheme, and the run director today was one of our DoE volunteers, who has successfully completed their Bronze Volunteering experience with us. He was ably assisted by St George himself (who happens to be one of our regular volunteers!).
“We welcomed nine first timers, and it always amazes us that there are many children who have yet to experience the joy of parkrun. Well done to all the runners and a big thank you to the volunteers!”
