Commuters in Bushey will have a new way to pay for their parking as a new company took over the running of the station car park.
PayByPhone has been selected by Transport for London (TfL) to be the parking provider in Bushey plus all 80 TfL station car parks.
It means commuters will only have the cashless method of paying to park.
PayByPhone users can use the service through their smartphones without any parking transaction fees and can additionally choose to pay for text messages that remind them before a parking session expires.
For the user’s convenience, customers can also extend their parking sessions remotely, so that customers feel less inclined to rush a trip.
Jonny Combe, the UK CEO of PayByPhone, said: “We are delighted to launch PayByPhone in the TfL car parks managed by NCP. After signing the agreement with NCP last year, this is another exciting stage in our partnership.
“Mobile parking payments have many advantages to drivers and to parking operators and helps make the parking experience more hassle-free.”
