BEEKIND: Home care company brings elderly clients together for Christmas tea in Chipperfield (VIDEO)

Published on: 17th December 2021   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

A local home care company gave their elderly clients an afternoon to remember at Chipperfield Village Hall, with a heart-warming tea and raffle.

BeeKind Services, a companionship and homecare company that was founded a year ago, treated their clients to an afternoon tea on Wednesday, December 15, along with a raffle with hundreds of pounds-worth of prizes.

Louise Hammond, founder of BeeKind, told KINGSnews on the day: “Obviously it’s been a very difficult 18 months for everybody, so I decided at Christmas, it would be good to get our clients out socialising within the guidelines with a nice tea party.

“By the looks of things, they’ve all really enjoyed it.

“A year ago, I would never have imagined being in this position with five ladies helping me set this up.

“The support we’ve had around Chipperfield and beyond that has been unbelievable. Prizes have been donated to the raffle from several local companies and Talking Pictures has kindly sponsored the event.”

Peggy, a client of BeeKind, said: “I haven’t been with them [BeeKind] for long, but what I’ve had from them is superb. Doesn’t matter what I’ve asked of them, they’ve helped me.

“Today has been very nice and it’s been lovely to come out and see everyone. Where I live, we’re not allowed to mix, so coming here and just talking to somebody has been very nice.”

What you are doing is so thoughtful. It’s amazing how people come together in times of need. I wish you every success. Everyone has (over the last year) never experienced anything like this. The loneliness, depression and the worrying of how long this will go on for. People have lost family members, lost jobs, and slowly losing their socialability. A true credit for the service you are providing. Well done.?
