Recently, Northwood & Ruislip News spoke to Beth Gevell BEM, the founder and director of Arts for Life Project.
The project began with four young people around Beth’s kitchen table in Pinner. Seven years later, the Arts for Life Project supports 150 young people at its centre in Northwood.
The Arts for Life Project has created a range of programmes designed to engage young people in creative activities such as art, cooking, clay work and more.
Beth continued: “Finding young people’s special powers is amazing! I love it; it’s a passion, not work. Seeing the changes we make is incredible.”
Emma Helby, trustee for the project, said: “Beth has helped so many people; she is an absolute powerhouse!”
Beth was awarded a British Empire Medal last month for her work and also attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace on May 8.
The project is always looking for more volunteers, trustees and now a treasurer. To find out more, email enquiries@artsforlifeproject.org
