Construction of a new building and café at Phillimore Recreation Ground in Radlett kicked off last month, with Aldenham Parish Council (APC) Leader councillor Helen Jones even picking up a shovel to lend a hand.
Computer-generated photographs of the new building at the construction site reveal a new café space flanked by long windows and wooden panelling.
Building works began at the site on May 13, and it is hoped that the space will be handed over to APC and its chosen operator, Alex Black, mid-way through October.
Whilst construction is ongoing, there will be limited parking at Phillimore Recreation Ground.
