Published on: 24th August 2019   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Kings Langley F.C

Kings Langley FC overcame late pressure from Banbury United to beat them 1-2 away from home this afternoon (Saturday, August 24).

Kings were in the driving seat from the 39th minute, when Matty Campbell-Mhlope picked up a Charlie Ruff ball and neatly slotted home.

Kings Langley came close to doubling their lead a couple of times early in the second half but it wasn’t until later in the half that Matty Campbell-Mhlope scored another goal to put The Lango well ahead.

The home side managed to get one back in the 80th minute, but Kings were resilient in the intense closing stages and pulled off an important win.

A friendly reminder for Kings Langley fans: the club’s Bank Holiday match vs Hitchin on Monday has been postponed.
