ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: CCTV appeal following attempted robbery and assault in Watford

Police are releasing images of several males who they would like to identify following an attempted robbery in Watford.

Officers are investigating the incident which occurred in Shepherds Road at around 3.10pm on Monday, June 3. It is reported a group of males approached the victim and demanded his mobile phone. The victim refused and the suspects assaulted him before making off from the scene. No injuries were reported.

It is believed the suspects headed in the direction of the Underground station.

Detective Constable Ben Chandler, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and I am urging anyone with information to please contact us.

“We are releasing these images because we believe the individuals pictured may have been in the area at the time and could have information to assist our investigation.

“Is this you, or do you recognise any of the men pictured? Were you in the area at the time and may have witnessed something that could assist with our enquiries? Please contact me at Ben.Chandler@herts.police.uk quoting crime reference 41/44752/24.”
