Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious assault which occurred in Watford in the early hours of Sunday, September 27. The incident occurred between 2am and 2.30am on Lower High Street outside McDonalds when the victim, a 36 year old man, was hit to the head which resulted in him losing consciousness. Prior to the assault, the victim and offender had been involved in an altercation inside McDonalds. The victim was taken to Watford General hospital with a head injury where he remains in a stable condition at this time. Detective Constable Dan Devico is investigating and said: “There were a number of people around at the time that will have seen the assault and the events leading up to it.
