Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a suspicious fire at a property in Watford. Officers had been called to Pheonix Lodge in St Albans Road at 5.36am on Monday, November 9 following reports of a fire. It is believed it started in a storage cupboard on the ground floor. Twenty six people were evacuated from the address. One man suffered a minor injury to his finger. Damage was caused to a downstairs hallway and ceiling. The fire is being treated as suspicious and officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen what happened or anyone who can assist the investigation is asked to contact the Herts Police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number C4/15/2615.
