Police appeal following burglary in Chorleywood

Published on: 12th November 2015   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category:

Detectives investigating a burglary in Chorleywood are releasing images of some of the items stolen in a bid to locate them and identify the person or people responsible for the theft. Between 12.30pm and 10.10pm on Friday, October 30, a property in Blacketts Wood Drive was broken into whilst the occupants were out. It’s not known how the offender(s) gained access to the property but they stole a safe containing cash and a number of items of gold jewellery (some of which are pictured). Detective Constable Nick Surridge from the Three Rivers Local Crime Unit is investigating and said: “These items hold sentimental value to the victims and they are eager to be reunited with them as soon as possible. “I’d like to hear from anyone who knows of the whereabouts of these items or has been offered them for sale. I’d also like to speak with anyone who remembers seeing anything suspicious or unusual in the area between the stated times.” Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC Surridge via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference C2/15/2592. Alternatively, if you have any information about this incident, you can contact the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their Anonymous Online Form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will never need to go to court.
