A Northwood primary school has announced it is expanding its on-site nursery’s opening hours to full-time- and applications are now open.

Eastbury Farm Primary School’s established nursery will now run from 8:50am to 3:10pm every weekday. Children who are entitled to 30 hours of free child care will be able to attend full hours freely, whilst those entitled to 15 hours have the option of paying £5 per day to stay for lunch until 1pm, or £15 to stay until the end of the day.

The nursery is led by a fully qualified teacher who works closely with the Reception class to ensure a smooth transition into full-time education and provides both inside and outdoor learning to children. It can accommodate up to 30 children in the mornings and 26 from lunch onwards.

Headteacher, Miss Rebecca Workman said “We are extremely excited to be able to offer a full day of Nursery education led by outstanding practitioners on our beautiful school grounds for local children.

“I would strongly urge parents considering a place in our Reception classes to explore attending our Nursery too, as the transition benefits both academically and emotionally will be huge.”

To apply, please visit the school’s website at www.eastburyfarm.herts.sch.uk/admissions/. To see a prospectus, visit www.eastburyfarm.herts.sch.uk/prospectus/. Applications close on Friday, March 18 this year.
