A Chorleywood pub is looking for new tenants, according to a recently posted online listing.
New operators are needed for the 18th century Old Shepherd public house, located in Chorleywood Bottom, following a turbulent time during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pub originally closed in 2021, before a major refurbishment and reopening the following year.
The listing on the Find My Pub website describes it as: “A detached 18th century, two-storey cottage-style property (with later additions) set on a large plot close to a generally affluent residential area that is popular with commuters into London.”
The listing also describes the venue’s pub garden, car park and location near Chorleywood Common and the train station.
There is private accommodation above the pub with two bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and bathroom.
Those wishing to take over the independent pub would need to pay £5,000 for incoming costs, with rent being set at £25,000 annually. Applicants with hospitality experience are wanted.
