ANOTHER DEFEAT: Kings Langley lose 2-1 to bottom of the table Leiston

Published on: 22nd October 2019   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Kings Langley F.C

Following the clubs 4-1 defeat to Maidstone at the weekend, Kings Langley FC were back in action this evening (October 22) entertaining Leiston in the Southern League Central.

Despite taking a 1-0 lead, The Lango were unable to secure any points from the bottom table club.

The Lango’s Mitchell Weiss puts a ball into Harrison Crawford down the right-hand side and crosses it to Stevie Ward who sends a lovely header past the keeper into the bottom corner to put the home side 1-0 up.

Against the run of play in the 37th minute, Leiston’s Leiston’s Josh Hitter equalised for the away side, leaving Kings Langley with a lot of work to do in the second half.

The game went flat in the second 45 minutes but it was the Blues who came out on top in the 82nd minute. Kings keeper Melvin Minter spills the ball, letting striker Will Davies tap the ball into the back of the net to clinch all three points.

Kings Langley are back in action on Saturday, October 26 in a FA Trophy qualification match against Phoenix Sports Club.
