A new group has been set up to support Abbots Langley Library in the centenary year of Hertfordshire Libraries.
After a meeting between a small team of people on Wednesday, December 11, the new support group was established, which according to Abbots Langley resident and former Mayor of Watford John Horsfield, has “the simple aim of supporting the library in any way we can”.
In a post on Facebook, John said: “Abbots Langley Library is the hub of our village. Whether it’s the chess club, the book group, craft activities or just being a Warm Place. The staff are knowledgeable, and always welcoming.
“[We] wanted to show we are fully behind our library, so we decided to show this by forming Friends of Abbots Langley Library.”
Hertfordshire County Council is hosting a survey on libraries in the area, to complete it, head to https://shorturl.at/DWZkw
