St Albans City FC travelled to Kent to take on Maidstone, looking to build on their win in the FA Cup third qualifying round against Worthing on Tuesday.
After a bright start in which the Saints caused plenty of problem for their hosts, it was Maidstone who went ahead against the run of play just after 20 mins.

Although Saints responded well, the hosts doubled their lead with a goal out of nowhere.

Although the hosts went into the break with a two goal lead, the Saints will be wondering how they found themselves behind having played well for large spells.
After the break, St Albans struggled to get going and conceded a nightmare goal when Scott Sulton was muscled off the ball in his own area.

Maidstone completed the rout after 75 minutes when City failed to deal with a cross from the right.

St Albans travel to Weymouth next weekend in the third FA Cup qualifying round.
