A Bushey-based dance school will tread the boards at the Radlett Centre this week with their annual showcase. The Vanessa Class School of Dance will perform a variety-style show of different dance forms to raise money for children’s cancer charity Fight for Life. Vanessa says: “Each number is colourful, dynamic and exciting and suitable for any age to enjoy. “I teach street jazz/hip hop and tap to students between the ages of three to 18 years and every child of any ability gets to perform in the annual charity show.” Over the years the shows have raised more than £100,000 for charities including Children in Need, Children with Leukaemia and Macmillan Nursing. An array of celebrities have attended the shows in the past including Nicky Clarke, Rachel Stevens, and Fearne Cotton. Vanessa has been a dancer herself since the age of three. She trained at The Arts Educational School and became a member of The Vienna Festival Ballet Company before deciding to open her own dance school. The show takes place at The Radlett Centre on Saturday at 7.30pm, Sunday at 2pm and Monday at 7.30pm. For more information on the dance school or for tickets to the show call Vanessa on 07889 405289.
