A Slice of Saturday Night, a forthcoming show being presented by Elstree Productions Theatre Company, has received some welcome funding from local councillors to help with the publicity effort. Three Hertsmere borough councillors have pooled money from their Ward Improvement Initiative Scheme (WIIS) allocations to donate a total of £250 towards publicising the show, which will be presented at the Radlett Centre between Wednesday October 8 and Saturday October 11 . Councillors Clive Butchins and Farida Turner gave £100 respectively, with Councillor Richard Butler adding a further £50 to the funding pot. The council’s WIIS gives each of our 39 councillors £500 to spend on local projects throughout the year. Helen Claydon from the production company said: “This is great news and we thank local councillors for their support which has helped us publicise the production with full colour flyers, posters and programmes. We hope that the show, which is great fun and revolves around teenage angst in a 1960s nightclub, will be well attended.” For more information about the show and to book tickets, visit http://www.radlettcentre.co.uk/
