43 MILES: Chorleywood resident runs C2C for Mission EmployAble

Published on: 12th December 2020   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

One lucky – or imaginative – person will get to choose the running gear for Brent Mullane when he takes on the 43-mile Country to Capital (C2C) marathon on Saturday, January 9, in aid of Mission EmployAble.

Chorleywood dad Brent, 46, will be sprinting through the village on his way from Wendover to London on January 9, arriving on Chalfont Lane at approximately 10.30am and hopes to see friends and supporters cheering him on.

Before that, on January 1, Brent will offer his most generous donor to date the honour of choosing his outfit for the C2C.

“I hope that person isn’t too mischievous in their choice,” said Brent.

“I want them to remember that the weather on January 9 could be cold and wet, so please, don’t make me wear a mankini.”

In order to get extra fit for the C2C, Brent has already completed four Ultras and will be running 13 consecutive daily marathons, from December 27, meaning that when he completes the C2C, he will have run a total of 787.5 miles in just five months, all in aid of Mission EmployAble.

The charity is raising money, along with Chorleywood Cricket Club, for a training café for young adults with learning disabilities, to be housed within the club’s new pavilion on the Common.
