A woman from Berkhamsted has been charged with causing a public nuisance after she strapped herself to a gantry on the M25.
Emma Mani, 45, of High Street, Berkhamsted was charged today in connection with the protests on the M25 on July 20.
The Met Police have charged three people in connection with the protest between junctions 14 and 15, which was part of a wider movement from action group Just Stop Oil.
Also charged with causing a public nuisance are Alexander Wilcox, 21 (05.03.2001) of South Fifth Street, Milton Keynes, and Cressida Gethian, 20 (19.01.02), of no fixed address.
They will appear in custody at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 22.
The investigation is being led by the Met’s Public Order Crime Team. The team previously charged 289 people for blocking roads policed by the service in autumn 2021. Of those, 135 have so far pleaded guilty.
