361: Bus service to travel through Radlett after old route cancelled

Published on: 18th April 2024   |   By: Sophia Sheera   |   Category: Uncategorized

A bus service connecting Bricket Wood and St Albans Abbey has been extended to travel via Radlett.

The extension of the 361 will make up for the termination of the B3 bus and will pass through Radlett on an hourly basis.

Borough councillor Nik Oakley explained: “The B3 was a poorly used bus route that the county council wasn’t prepared to fund anymore.

“Meanwhile, the 361 is being funded by a developer and we had the idea of extending it into Radlett and more of St Albans to make up for the cancelled B3.

“Funnily enough, the B3 went nowhere near Radlett, which is essentially receiving an additional service for free!”

The new route will be particularly useful for students travelling from Radlett to attend Margaret Wix Primary School, St Albans Girls’ School or Townsend School in St Albans.
