A nine-year-old from Garston starred in a festive film that came out on Netflix last month.
Christmas on Mistletoe Farm is a family-friendly comedy that tells the story of a widowed father-of-five who inherits a farm at Christmas.
Evan Scott, who plays the role of Charlie Cunningham, took part in a seven-week shoot and worked five days a week, including night shoots.
This wasn’t Evan’s first taste of being in the spotlight. He started his career at the age of three, modelling for Mothercare, before moving on to TV adverts for Hillarys Blinds and Furniture Village. He got into acting through his modelling agency Rebel Nineteen, and previously starred in The Midwich Cuckoos on Sky Max.
Evan enjoyed the overall experience and met some “really good” friends, who he hopes to keep in touch with.
Evan’s dad Anthony said: “I’m happy he’s having lots of exciting opportunities and it’s helping him continue to develop into a confident and well-rounded individual. We are grateful to Miss Beale, the head of Kingsway Junior School, for allowing him the time off school for this amazing project.”
The cast of Christmas on Mistletoe Farm includes Celia Imrie, Ashley Jensen and Kathryn Drysdale.
The film was directed by Debbie Isitt, who also worked on Nativity!.
