A popular Stanmore book hub has been protected for the winter with the help of donations and support from the local community.
Monique Hershkorn started the Little Local Book Hub from her home in Stanmore and since then book hubs have popped up around the country.
However, with winter drawing in, furniture was needed to keep the books protected.
Jayne Hardy is currently keeping the Stanmore book hub going and said the book hub continues to grow so the new furniture will help keep it going.
She said: “It has grown and grown, mostly during lockdown so we put out a request to people who have used it and enjoyed it and asked if they could donate to get some kind of furniture for throughout the winter.
“It has become a really lovely thing, some people come by every day.”
