A Gerrards Cross Girlguiding group for adults involved in the organisation has been fundraising for a local hospice.
Members of the Gerrards Cross & Denham branch of the Trefoil Guild, the group for former Girlguides who wish to stay active in the movement past the age of the 18, held a special garden party on June 24 in honour of their chosen charity this year, South Bucks Hospice, based at Butterfly House.
At the party, the branch was joined by members of other local Trefoil Guilds from Amersham, Farnham Common and Chesham North, plus various ex members. Also attending was the Guild’s county chair Karen Batten, the division commissioner Morag Mason and district commissioner, Sarah Fitzpatrick.
A spokesperson for the Trefoil Guild said: “As well as raising money for this worthy cause we were pleased to meet up with new friends and old, to enjoy the delicious spread put on by the members of Gerrards Cross & Denham Trefoil Guild.”
The amount of money raised has yet to be tallied. To find about more about the local Trefoil Guild and/or join, email them ongxdtrefoil@gmail.com
