A woman from Pinner who has worked at a hospital for more than 21-years has donated a painting as tribute to the medical professionals who go above and beyond on a daily basis.
Radhika Mody, who works as an Estates Secretary at Northwick Park Hospital, thanked staff for their work during the pandemic by donating her diamond painting called The Real Superhero which took more than three-months to complete.
The unique diamond painting features a nurse and a lineup of fictional superheroes is made up of thousands of rhinestones on a colour coded canvas. More than 76,800 drills of faceted diamond were used in the 60 x 80cm picture.
Radhika told PinnerNews: “I am a creative person and enjoy diamond painting. I wanted to do something to thank all the medical staff. I was able to work from home during the height of the pandemic and I wanted to show my appreciation for those who were helping patients throughout. It has been a really challenging time for all medical professionals”
The Real Superhero is now proudly displayed in the St Marks Corridor of Northwick Park Hospital.
