Nature enthusiasts and horticulturalists from Chorleywood will be delighted to hear that the annual Mission EmployAble Bluebell Walk will return next month.
On Sunday, May 4, and Monday, May 5, the community will have access to the private ancient Crosslane Wood on Burtons Lane. Money raised from the event will go to the Mission EmployAble charity, which offers skills training for young people with a learning disability.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “This is always an extremely popular event in the local community. Hundreds of families turn up over two days to explore a privately owned woodland closed to the public for the rest of the year. A sea of bluebells in a magical setting, especially when the sun breaks through the pale green of the tree canopy.
“There is an amazing walk around the woods as well as a pop-up woodland café with hot and cold drinks and delicious cakes and some hot food.”
Tickets start from £8. For more information, please visit www.shorturl.at/hfWos
