A Bushey woman was full of praise for the spirited community that came to her aid when she had a problem with her car.
Susan Mason parked up in Fuller Close last month to collect her son from school, and when she returned to her car, the car battery was completely flat.
Not only did a man pull up in his car to offer his help, but Bushey Hall Garage came along in no time to help get Susan’s battery fixed.
She said: “I was due to take my son to see Star Wars that afternoon so time was against us in this regard.
“Whilst waiting for my local garage to come and save me, my 11-year-old son helped push my car back to a safe place. A car then pulled up and this lovely man who lives in Fuller Close immediately got out of his car and offered to help push my car back and asked if there was anything else I needed.
“What a lovely gesture and such kindness. Not only this, the lovely people from Bushey Hall Garage ensured I got a new car battery fixed in time to take my son to the cinema.
“I’m not sure if it was the ‘angels’ who were looking over me that day, or ‘the force’ in making sure my son and I got to see Star Wars, but I am so grateful for such kindness and selflessness by both.”
