Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a dog being dangerously out of control in Bushey.
The incident occurred on the pedestrian pathway between Aldenham Road and Finch Lane at around 4.15pm on Wednesday, May 10.
It is reported that a 14-year-old boy was riding his bike when he was approached by a dog on a lead.
The dog, described as brown and medium-sized, then bit the boy on the back of his leg.
PC Melissa Varol, who is investigating, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and we are appealing for any witnesses to please get in touch.
“The dog owner is described as being a white male, aged in his mid-30s and wearing a grey jumper. It’s reported that he was also in the company of another man who was out walking a dog.
“Were you in the area at this time and saw a dog being dangerously out of control, or have any further information that may assist our investigation? Please contact me at melissa.varol@herts.police.uk”
