Published on: 27th April 2026   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Featured

Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a fatal road traffic collision in Rickmansworth.

At around 5.10pm on Sunday, April 26, a lorry and a Skoda Octavia were travelling along the A412 Denham Way when they were involved in a collision at the junction with Old Uxbridge Road.

The driver of the Skoda, a man aged in his 20s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers at this difficult time. The lorry driver remained at the scene to assist officers with enquiries.

Detective Constable Felicity Walker, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: “Firstly, my thoughts are with the man’s loved ones at this sad time. We are continuing to appeal for witnesses as we work to establish the full circumstances of the collision.

“Additionally, if you were driving at the time and have a dash cam fitted, please check it in case you recorded any crucial footage. This can be uploaded via DAMS. If you have any further information that may help the investigation, please email me via Felicity.Walker@herts.police.uk.”

You can also report information online at www.herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting Op Hendra.
