Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in St Albans.

The incident occurred between 3pm and 3.15pm on Friday, October 6, on Green Lane.

It is reported that an altercation occurred between two males, one of whom had his vehicle damaged before being punched in the face, with the victim suffering ABH level facial injuries resulting in a snapped tooth.

The offender only stopped as a member of the public intervened before the victim was able to drive off.

PC Joanne Busch, who is investigating, said: “I am interested in speaking to anyone who has witnessed this incident or has any information about It, in particular the person who intervened with the altercation,

“Please can I ask for people to check their doorbell cameras to see if it has captured anything and anyone driving in the area at the time to review dashcam footage.”
