WISH LIST: Support needed to provide Watford hospital patients with pyjamas

Published on: 8th November 2023   |   By: Darius Morgan   |   Category: Uncategorized

The community is being called upon to help provide pyjamas to patients at Watford General Hospital this Christmas.

Rebecca Hennessy joined the Children’s Hospital Pyjamas charity in July of last year, first supporting her local hospital in Slough.

After being “overwhelmed” with support from her community, Rebecca was given the opportunity to support another hospital.

She told Watford News: “I chose Watford General Hospital as I have a big connection with the area, I’ve been a Watford FC fan all my life and have been attending matches since I was three years old. The area is a massive part of my life!

“It is so important to be able to give something to the children who will find themselves in hospital at any point and to be able to give them a tiny bit of comfort in a time that they need it. To ensure have a brand new pair of pyjamas and not a hospital gown, means so much.”

Now, she is calling on locals’ support again to hit the target of 92 pairs of pyjamas, which would cover every size from newborn to adult for boys and girls.
