The community is invited to a winter extravaganza at Aylward Primary School in Stanmore from 3.30pm to 7.30pm on Friday, November 21.
The Friends of Aylward are dedicated to helping raise funds for the school to help enrich children’s time at the school. Over the years, since starting up back in 2022, the Friends have funded an outdoor classroom, book vending machine and some treats for the children.
Their upcoming winter extravaganza will consist of two fireworks displays, a low noise one at 6.30pm and a main display with all the bangs at 7.15pm. There will also be street food, local business stalls, facepainting, children’s attractions, and a human snowglobe.
Tickets cost £5 for children, £8 for adults, and £22 for a family of four. Under threes go free. Tickets can be purchased online at www.pta.events/winterextravaganza
It is hoped that the money raised at the event will help to fund a multi-use games area for the school to provide new facilities for the children.
