Three Rivers Museum has re-opened, having been shut since the start of lockdown.
It welcomed visitors to Basing House, in Rickmansworth High Street, for the first time on Saturday, 5 September.
The museum plans to be open on Saturdays only between 10am and 3.30pm.
The day gave the new chairman of the museum, Fabian Hiscock, the chance to make his debut at the welcome desk.
Fabian took over from the legendary Barbara Owen just after lockdown started, and while there’s been a lot going on since it hasn’t involved meeting the public.
He said: “It feels really good to be involved, and to have visitors to the museum again”, he said. “We have so much to show and to tell, and we look forward to seeing Three Rivers people, and local schools too, just as soon as they want to come.”
The museum will announce extensions to the opening times as they become possible.
But for now, the Three Rivers Museum is back!
