The reverend who officiated at the state funeral of Her late Majesty the Queen will host a talk in Radlett at the end of next month.
The Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle KCVO MBE, 39th Dean of Westminster, will visit St John’s Church, on Gills Hill Lane, for a Lent talk at 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 28.
As well as officiating Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral, the reverend also led the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
He was awarded an MBE for services to the community whilst Dean of Bristol, and is said to have been a part of the Radlett community for “many of his younger years”.
A spokesperson for the church said: “We are delighted to be welcoming the Dean of Westminster back to Radlett for our Lent Talk on February 28.
“As a member of the St John’s Church youth group, Dr Hoyle’s faith and vocation were nurtured in our community. Join us for what promises to be an inspiring and fascinating talk by our ‘local lad’.”
