Bushey Museum and Art Gallery is set to reopen next week, on Thursday, September 17, after plans for the return of volunteers and visitors were finalised.
The museum will now operate with a one-way system and has helpful signage around the building, and the touch screens and quiz sheets are unavailable.
All galleries and the museum’s shop will be open.
Curators will be on site before the reopening to ensure all signage is in place and that paintings are secure.
A feature of the opening is an exciting new series of booklets under the title of ‘Voice from the Past’, which includes ‘Bushey in the 20s’, World Wars 1 and 2, ‘School Life’, ‘Working Life’ and ‘Bushey Artists’. The whole set is available for £10 and can be ordered on their website busheymuseum.org.
At Reveley Lodge, also in Bushey, the gardens have remained open throughout lockdown and Mabel’s Vintage Tearooms also reopened on September 5.
