WAXWELL LANE: Pinner builders must practice social distancing as work continues

Published on: 10th May 2020   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

Residents in the Waxwell Lane area of Pinner have been reassured that proper social distancing precautions will be carried out while work on the car park continues.

The Pinner Association received confirmation from the Harrow Council Regeneration Team that construction group Claritas would continue works on the Waxwell Lane Car Park before the end of last month, having abandoned the site when lockdown began.

The council assured the Pinner Association that Claritas would need to demonstrate to the council and its consultant team that they are compliant with government guidelines on social distancing before works began.

The Pinner Association responded to the update, saying: “Thank you for the update and for discussing with Claritas how they intend to practice correct social distancing on the site once the work recommences.

“We anticipate that we may need to reassure the nearby residents that they will not be put at any additional risk by the construction works, as many are in the age group that have been told that they are particularly at risk from the complications of infection by COVID-19.”
