New data has revealed the roads in Pinner where the most speeding offences have taken place over the last year.
A Freedom of Information request submitted by MyLocalNews to the Metropolitan Police showed that in the 2020/21 financial year, 807 camera speeding offences occurred on the top 10 roads.
The most frequent offence location was the A4090, Alexandra Ave with 169 offences recorded, followed closely by A4140 Honeypot Ln nr Broadcroft Ave, where 160 offences were recorded. A4090 Alexandra Ave nr Newton also had 135 offences.
A Met police spokesperson said: “Speeding continues to be the most significant contributor to deaths or serious injuries on London’s roads. We are committed to making London’s road network safe and will continue to work with local authorities and Transport for London in taking enforcement action against reckless motorists.
“Officers from the Met’s Road and Transport Policing Command regularly conduct highly visible policing operations, including in Pinner, in order to tackle speeding and other offences.”
