WARNER STABBING: Police confirm worker stabbed on Anne Hathaway’s film set

A construction worker arrested for stabbing a colleague in the neck on the set on Anne Hathaway’s new film has been bailed by the police.

The man was arrested after the attack on Wednesday, June 20 at the Warner Bros’ studios at Leavesden near Watford where they are filming a new version of Roald Dahl’s The Witches.

A spokesperson for Warner Brothers said: “I can confirm that there was an isolated workplace incident at the Warner Brothers studio production facility and the police are now handling the matter.”

Herts police said: “Police were called at around 12.35pm to reports of an incident at Warner Brothers Studios in Leavesden.

“One man sustained a neck injury and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

“A second man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

“It is believed the men are known to each other. Enquiries are continuing at this time to establish the circumstances around what happened.”

The man has been bailed until July 17.
