Residents and business owners across St Albans have been celebrated for their acts of kindness throughout the pandemic.
As part of the #warmherts campaign launched by city residents Lee Wood and Paul Kingston, members of the St Albans community voted for their community heroes.
Voting on the HertsBubbleBuddies Facebook group residents chose their eight winners; Jamie West, Sharon Linney, John Vaughan, Leanda Kelly, Raihaanah Ahmed, Lynn Dutton, Jane Gomez and Leanne Monaghan.
Each winner was rewarded with their very own Alban Angel Award designed by Lee of Ember designs and crafted by Heartwood Glass.
Paul said he hopes people will be inspired by the community heroes as time goes on.
He said: “They’ve done some amazing work. It’s started in the pandemic but it’s continuing beyond that. I’m hoping that some of the amazing stuff people are doing inspires people to do the same.”
