Police are investigating an assault that occurred in Parnell Close, Abbots Langley, at around 7.35pm on Friday, April 26.
It was reported that around seven people were involved in an altercation.
One man sustained a suspected stab wound and was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-changing or life-threatening.
Four men who remained at the scene were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They have since been bailed pending further enquiries.
Officers are continuing their efforts to trace the remaining people involved.
Detective Inspector Dan Bhamra, from the Three Rivers Local Crime Unit, said: “I appreciate this will be alarming for the local community. I would like to reassure everyone that this is believed to be an isolated incident and there is not believed to be a wider risk to the public.
“As we work to understand the full circumstances of the incident, I’d like to thank members of the public who have been assisting us with our investigation.
“If you witnessed the incident and have not yet spoken to police, please do get in contact as you may have vital information that could help progress our enquiries.”
Anyone with information that could help with the investigation is asked to please contact police on 101 quoting ISR 685 of April 26.
Due to ongoing enquiries and to protect the integrity of the investigation, Hertfordshire Police have stated they will refrain from commenting further.
