Little Chalfont & Amersham Common councillor Martin Tett has called a comment posted by the Chiltern Green Party “reprehensible”, following a dispute over a traveller encampment.
On Friday, January 17, GX Online shared in post on X that Buckinghamshire Council had evicted two caravans from the Packhorse Road car park in Gerrards Cross.
In a comment on the post, the Chiltern Green Party compared Leader of the council cllr Tett to dictator and Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
They commented: “Great show Tett! Who was that Austrian/German who was as open in his hatred for gypsies as you again? Thought about defecting to Reform?”
Speaking to Chalfonts & Gerrards Cross News, cllr Tett said: “The Green Party attack on council officers and the local police for doing their job is reprehensible.
“The comparison with Nazi Germany, the most evil regime in human history, is just vile and appalling for those police officers and their families.
“I think the Green Party members in Buckinghamshire should reflect on the damage being done to their party’s reputation by this account.”
The Chiltern Green Party has been contacted for comment.
