Chalfont Saints FC have been named as Club of the Year in the 2024 Berks & Bucks FA Grassroots Football Awards.

The awards take place annually and this year, the winners were selected from more than 1,000 nominations by around 600 grassroots clubs in the region.

As well as winning Club of the Year, the Saints’ coach, Emily McCarthy, was also crowned Coach of the Year (Disability Pathway). Coach Kate Dunkley and club secretary Mike Saunders were highly commended in the Coach of the Year (Female Pathway) and Bobby Moore Award categories, which is given to those who have gone above and beyond in their volunteer work for football.

Club chairman Allen Davies said: “I am tremendously proud of the recognition for the club, and for Emily, Kate and Mike for receiving these prestigious awards. Chalfont Saints have a strong ethos of inclusion, fun and development of our members through playing football, and these awards demonstrate that.”

The Saints are looking for new players, sponsors and supporters for next season. Please contact chalfontsaints@hotmail.com for more details.
