St Albans residents are invited to take part in an online event putting sustainable fashion at the forefront.

The event titled ‘Shopping with a Conscience’ will take place on May 27 and is part of the annual St Albans Sustainability Festival which runs between May 23 and June 6.

There will be a host of panel guests including Lauren Bravo, author of How to Break Up with Fast Fashion, Bronwyn Lowenthal, founder of Lowie, Leigh Morris, founder of The ReDirectory and Sara Goodlad of The Preloved Edit.

Hosted by Alex Standley, owner of Luxe Leopard Lifestyle, the event is set to provide more information on how to shop sustainably in a way that’s accessible to everyone.

Alex who has worked in the fashion industry for about 15 years said that through the event she hopes to advise the community on the different tips and tricks on how to shop sustainably.

She said: “I launched my styling business about two years ago with a particular focus on sustainable fashion as it is something I want to educate myself and my clients on.

“It is accessible to everybody. There is quite often a misconception that if you haven’t got a big budget you cant shop more sustainability so that’s one of things I want to focus on in the event.”

Every ticket bought will be entered into a free Prize Draw to win one of 3 paperback copies of Lauren Bravo’s book How to Break Up with Fast Fashion.

You can purchase a ticket here.
