Radlett Cricket Club (RCC) have been crowned county champions for the second time.
At Broxbourne Cricket Club last month, RCC’s 1st XI took on Bishop’s Stortford in the semi-final of the Hertfordshire T20 competition.
RCC stormed to victory with contributions from Man of the Match Archie Harrison, alongside Peter Hatzoglou, Dom Chatfield and Fraser Crawford.
When Radlett batted, an excellent 55-run partnership between Dave Burnell and new recruit Jack Plom saw RCC home with two balls to spare.
Dom Chatfield, 1st XI captain, collected the trophy and £1,000 winners’ cheque from Hertfordshire League chairman Tony Johnson. RCC’s overseas player Peter Hatzoglou was awarded the Man of the Tournament trophy.
Dom said: “This was a true team effort with everyone contributing. The win was especially sweet as it was against such a strong Harpenden team.
“Well done to the team members who represented the club and deserved to be on the winning side.”
RCC previously won the Hertfordshire T20 competition in 2023.
