Vicarage Road in Watford shut due to multiple stabbings

Police have cordoned off Vicarage Road in Watford due to a multiple stabbings in the early hours of the morning.

At 3.17am today (July 3) police were called to Vicarage Road, Watford following a report of an incident where three people had sustained stab wounds.

Officers attended alongside the ambulance service. Three people were taken to hospital.

Armed officers and a dog unit were sent to the scene to support local officers due to the nature of the incident.

The road is currently closed and members of the public are asked to avoid the area as police continue their investigation.

Witnesses to the incident, or anyone else with information, are asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary via 101, quoting reference ISR 49 of July 3.

Due to the road closure, surrounding roads and routes in Watford have been affected by traffic.

Watford General Hospital is advising patients to access the hospital via Thomas Sawyer Way.

UPDATE: Police have recently confirmed the three victims involved in the stabbing spree are still in hospital.
