Staff at Abbots Langley Library (ALL) have been praised after the community was asked for feedback.
On Saturday, February 15, ALL posted a rather simple message on its Facebook page asking: “What’s your favourite thing about your local library?”
They received a glowing response from residents, with comments about the staff, the range of activities on offer, and even the ALL Facebook page.
One satisfied customer said: “Firstly, it’s the dedicated staff, always on hand to help and advise not just about books but so many other things. They cater for adults and children, with so many activities. Board games, chess club, monthly book club.
“On Friday [February 14], I needed the help of the tech man with a problem on my iPad. Ten minutes and it was sorted, all free. We are very lucky to have a library at all, so support it any way you can.”
Others were very complimentary about the “friendly and knowledgeable staff”.
The positive comments came after the former Mayor of Watford John Horsfield set up the Friends of Abbots Langley Library group, to support what he described as “the hub of our village” .
