A dance teacher who holds classes in Bushey brought A Touch of Class to the area last month when she staged her 18th annual charity show at the Radlett Centre.
Vanessa Class has raised nearly £150,000 over the last 16 years and this year for the charity Fight for Life, a charity which supprts terminally ill children.
This year’s event was another huge success with three sold-out performances last month. All the students from the dance school, based in Bushey, are aged between two and 21 and all perform in the show.
Vanessa said she was proud of everyone who took part.
She commented: “There were over 130 children performing songs and dance routines from street dance, hip hop, lyrical dance, tap, pop and musicals. The children start as young as two years of age and go up to adults.
“I have been inundated with messages and calls saying the standard of the performance was unreal and like being in the West End and how amazing that my dance school does its annual show to raise money for an unbelievable cause.”
Vanessa has been a dancer since the age of three. She trained at Arts Educational School London. After graduating and obtaining ISTD & RAD teaching qualifications she joined the Vienna Festival Ballet Company. She was then asked to teach back at Arts Educational School and also at Sylvia Young Theatre School.
