USEFUL RESOURCE: Watford and Three Rivers Trust launch ‘What’s On’ guide online

Published on: 25th February 2021   |   By: Lizzie Ellis   |   Category: Uncategorized

Watford and Three Rivers Trust (W3RT) Neighbours Together team have re-launched a ‘What’s On’ resources guide, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

The new online guide highlights activities, clubs, courses, events and support services available to help any resident in the Watford and Three Rivers area to stay connected and more active.

Alison May, Neighbours Together Lead at W3RT said: “We had a printed version for a year, then we hit the pandemic. The whole point of the project is to get people out and engaged so things went on hold. We have found that more and more people are accessing online resources so have restarted the guide online and will add more as we come out of the pandemic.”

W3RT hopes the guide will help people with some of the issues around isolation and loneliness and plan to launch a printed version later in the year.

Health professionals say the “What’s on” Guide is an essential resource in helping them signpost clients to appropriate activities.

A local Community Navigator said: “The guide has enabled me to have really good conversations with clients about what’s important to them. I use it to gently introduce social activities and clubs to see if they fancy trying something new, or go back to something that they used to like to do”.
