Emergency services have cornered off a home in Watford today (Monday, June 24) after a resident fell ill at their home in Courtlands Drive.
Residents reported the presence of police, fire and ambulance services outside the property, with the road being closed off entirely.
Herts Fire Control posted on social media : “Police closed Courtlands Drive in Watford as a precaution after a small spill of an unknown liquid which was reacting (now thought to be sulphuric acid). Ambulance crew assessed a male for minor effects. HFRS established a safety cordon and liaised with scientific advisors.”
Herts Police have been contacted for comment.
