UMBRELLAFEST: Electric Umbrella breaks barriers with music festival in Watford

Fresh from its Golden Buzzer performance on Britain’s Got Talent, Hertfordshire-based charity Electric Umbrella is set to take to the stage once again at its inclusive festival, Umbrellafest, on Saturday, September 6.

Electric Umbrella is a UK charity where music unites people and creates a more inclusive society. Their mission is celebrating difference and inspiring community connection, empowering learning disabled and neurodivergent people of all abilities. In a nutshell, their core belief is ‘there’s no such thing as normal’.

Umbrellafest is an afternoon of fun for the whole family, with live music, vibrant performances and community celebration, free and inclusive for everyone to join. The event will take place at The Event Space on The Parade in Watford from 1pm to 6pm.

Mel Boda, CEO of Electric Umbrella, said: “Everyone at Electric Umbrella is thrilled to present Umbrellafest again, which is completely free and accessible for everyone interested in attending. Our mission is to challenge perceptions of disability through the power of live music, creating incredible opportunities for learning disabled people to be seen and heard as the amazing rockstars they are. Make sure to head to The Event Space on the September 6 to watch our talented members perform, it is set to be a fantastic day of celebrations.”
